We motor-sailed from Gramvousa to Elaphonisos Island in the Peloponnese. A long way. Staying two days, we the made our way 8 miles up the Mani Peninsula to Port Lemoni (not really a port - more of a resort)
Mani - Maniot. There are 50 maniot villages on the peninsula. Families would feud often lasting centuries and house were built 3.5 stories high, one room square to prevent retaliation from warring families. The words Maniac and Vendetta come from this area. I had a photo of a maniot house, but cant find it

We visited the limestone caves in the nearby bay. 1.5k of caves which you are rowed 1.2k and walk 300k. They are spectacular
