Hi all, just an update on where we are not at. We are still in Marmaris yacht marina. We went to leave a couple of days ago but with all the bureaucratic nonsense of having to pay tax for the purchase of the boat plus other things and the tax office not being open until Monday we are unable to leave until everything is finalized.
So hopefully after Tonys appointment at 2pm Monday we maybe on our way.
Staying in the Marina is fine. It is huge and Tony and I went for an evening walk last night and got lost. It is just as well Tony has a good sense of direction or we could have wandered around for hours looking for our pier.
The complex caters well for boaties. Along with the chandlery a supermarket, restaurant, bar and everything as far as boat maintenance goes it is perfect and well run.
The only thing I found difficult to get my head around is everywhere not just on the boat you are not allowed to put toilet paper down the toilets. By this i mean ALL toilet paper. It goes in a bucket next to the toilet.
Fortunately the buckets are emptied regularly and the facilities are spotless.
The weather is fantastic everyday. Around 35 degrees. Usually in the afternoon we head inside where it is cooler. Tony thinks when we are out on the water it will be cooler which makes sense especially with a sea breeze.
Well thats about it for now. I hope everyone is keeping well and are healthy and happy.
