On to Preveza For The Survey

A motor sail from Antipaxos to Preveza. It was a pleasure to be back in Turtle Bay Preveza albeit for only two nights. Caught up with "Adventurous" a Prout with a bowsprit. The owners - Australians David and Jaynee tolerated my interruption and we had a long chat about their long cruising history to the point where they got engaged the previous evening.

I used the spare day to wander around Preveza visiting old haunts and stocking up on groceries.

Lift out and Survey at Cleopatra marina

The marina is very professionally run and everything was on time and went well. I met Xavier, the prospective purchaser briefly as he was off on an assignment in Athens. Something to do with  a large motor yacht.  He is an adventurer and tour guide. I had the use of s motor scooter, so filled containers with outboard fuel and diesel from a nearby Shell station.

I also transited the tunnel to Preveza Town.  It is an extensive toll tunnel under the sea linking Aktio with Preveza. Cost .70E for a scooter.

Rolfe the surveyor arrived on Sunday and the survey started early in the morning and proceeded almost entirely for the next 12 hours. A break during the heat of the day. And into the next morning for 2 hours.

Lift in was supposed to be at 8am, but was delayed till 9.30.  I was a bit stressed at the delay as I was due back in Corfu in 2 days to pick up Grandchildren. (35 is not a child)

I made it back to Plataria for the night, and Corfu  the next day.
